Maximal Oxygen
Uptake Analysis (VO2max) – testing time 1:15 – Maximal
Oxygen Uptake is a measurement of the amount of oxygen the
body uses while at work. It determines your body’s ability
to pump blood to your muscles and then to extract that oxygen
and use it as fuel. Typically, this measure is genetically
predetermined. But current research does show that specific
training can increase this measure up to 15% in the untrained
athlete. This procedure can be performed on your bike or on
our treadmill. This test is performed according to the protocols
of the US Olympic Training Center.
Lactate Threshold Analysis (LT) – testing
time 1:30 – Lactate Threshold Analysis
measures your body’s ability to buffer or “clear” lactic
acid while you are exercising. Based off of this measure, your
individual heart rate training zones are identified. Applying
this measure to your training programs allows you to train
more efficiently and helps to prevent overtraining issues.
The end product is improved performance outcomes! This procedure
can be performed on your bike or on our treadmill. This test
is performed according to the protocols of the US Olympic Training
Center.
Body Composition – testing
time 0:30 - Results from the body composition let you know what
is inside your body. It isolates lean body mass from fat. This
information helps
you to determine your potential health/sport risks and allows
you to proactively make healthy lifestyle decisions.
Body Gem /
Resting Metabolic Rate Analysis (RMR) – testing
time 1:00 - Resting Metabolic Rate Analysis helps you to scientifically
determine how many calories you should be taking in to achieve
your caloric
goals. Be it to add weight or to drop weight, this measurement
verifies your unique metabolism.
Swim
Force Stroke Analysis (SFSA) – testing
time 2:00 - Pinpointing bi-lateral differences in your stroke
during the pull phase and recovery phase is the primary outcome
of the
Swim Force
Stroke Analysis. It will address peak power output, stroke length,
stroke rate, lapses within the continuity of the stroke, and
swimming velocity.
Swim Lactate
Threshold (SLT) – testing
time 2:00 - Specific heart rate training zones are determined
for swimmers
with the Swim Lactate Threshold Analysis. By performing repeated
distances in the pool, your swim-specific LT is identified, thus
providing true results for your swim heart rate training zones.
This test is performed according to the protocols of USA Swimming.
Swim Stroke
Analysis (SSA) – testing
time 1:15 - The Swim Stroke Analysis breaks down your swim stroke
and addresses biomechanical inefficiencies. Appropriate drills
and coaching are
included to ensure success with the stroke changes that might occur
during the session.
Swim Dry-Land
Strength Test – testing
time 1:00 - The Swim Dry-Land Strength Test assesses your sport-specific
strength. This test is performed according to the protocols of
USA Swimming.
Professional
Bike Fit – testing
time 1:30 - Our resident cycling expert measures your angular
alignment in several riding positions while riding your bike.
Ankle, knee,
hip, trunk and shoulder joints are analyzed with laser guidance
to ensure proper fit, biomechanical efficiency, and comfort.
Bring all of your bikes!
Follow-Up Bike
Fit – testing
time 1:00 - On your same bike and with the same equipment that
we have previously tested/fit, we will perform a follow-up bike
fit within two to
six months of your previous NTC bike fit. (see above)
Computrainer
Spinscan – testing
time 1:30 - Real-time results from the Computrainer Spinscan
allow you to make adjustments to your pedaling cadence and stroke.
During this
session, your power output throughout your entire stroke will
balance out, training you to perform consistently and effectively.
Functional
Assessment – testing
time 1:30 - This
is a complete assessment that evaluates flexibility, core-strength
and functional movement patterns. We look at how your whole
body moves, what is tight, what is weak and what is limiting
the body from moving most efficiently in all directions. Results
from the assessment are crucial in designing a comprehensive
individualized sports performance program.
