Adam’s Philosophy: Train Hard and Train
Smart
“In order to maximize an endurance
athlete’s potential, the
focus of the training should come from the identification and
periodic monitoring of an athlete’s lactate threshold work
load. In doing this an athlete will be able to ensure that they
using accurate
training zones and thereby targeting the appropriate energy systems.”
Coaching/Program Design:
“My approach in creating the proper training environment for my
athletes is to develop a periodized, personalized program, designed
specifically for that athlete and not from a fixed template. The
program should be designed in a way so that cycles can be lengthened
or shortened, based on the athlete’s exercise adherence,
training response, the strengths and weaknesses of the athlete.” Individual Training Sessions:
“From professionals to beginners,
all cyclists can benefit from one-on-one skills training
and workout supervision. Mastery of
bike handling skills will allow one to corner faster, climb better,
conserve energy, reduce the risk of injury, and take ones racing
to the next level.”

and physical skills necessary when engaged in a training or racing
environment. No giving in, no backing out and no slowing down are
the realities of a distance runner’s life. Becoming a fine-tuned
athlete is a privilege that few have the chance to live out.” Coaching Design/Program:
