Volunteer Opportunities
The success of the National Training Center’s events relies heavily on the participation of volunteers. Volunteers for the National Training Center can assist in a variety of community events, from local triathlons to track and field meets and numerous other sporting events. Volunteering for our events is a wonderful way to get involved in the community while meeting new people and getting the chance to watch some of the best athletes in the world compete. Whether you are an individual, group or business, the National Training Center has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to meet the skills and interests you may have.

Internship Opportunities
The National Training Center offers a variety of internships for college students in the fields of Exercise Science and Sports Management. With a wide variety of fitness programming, events, facility management and coaching, an internship with the National Training Center exposes students to a broad range of career opportunities. Internships can be completed throughout the year, based on availability. All internships are unpaid.
Exercise Science Internship Program
Students will gain experience with:
- Exercise prescription
- Health history and new patient assessment
- Weight loss programs
- Measuring vital signs
- Personal training
- Sports performance
- Human Performance Lab testing
- Group fitness
- Youth fitness
- Camps/Clinics
Sports Management Internship Program
Students will gain experience with:
- Event management
- Database management
- Event marketing
- Event sponsorship sales
- Volunteer management
- Sports programming
- Camps/Clinics
